ACIDET 4 is designed primarily for use on dairy farms to loosen and dissolve soils, and then rinse away freely. It is also used with excellent results at process facilities on heat exchangers, pasteurizers, coolers, kettles, and bulk tanks and vats. When used regularly, this product aids in lowering bacterial counts by removing both proteinaceous and mineral stone deposits from equipment surfaces in which bacteria are known to breed. Stainless steel surfaces are left bright and sparkling. Low foaming at all temperatures, it is ideally suited for CIP cleaning of equipment and connecting piping.

ACIDET 4 is the most economical of the ACIDET Series of phosphoric acid based descalant cleaners. As such, it is also the least active in terms of total mineral acidity. However, when used as part of a regular cleaning and sanitation program where the protein and scale deposits are on the order of film rather than heavier stone or scale, it may be all that is required to do the job.

For safety considerations, we have color coded ACIDET 4 'red' to distinguish it from other materials. ACIDET 4 will produce impressive results at economical end use costs. Similar products to consider include ACIDET CIP and ACIDET 6, both of which are low foaming but much higher in total mineral acidity.

Mineral Stone Removal On Equipment Exteriors -- Precleaning of oil or grease coated surfaces is recommended (use any quality alkaline detergent). Apply an ACIDET 4 solution of 1/2 - 1 gallon per 6 gallons of warm to hot water and brush or wipe surfaces. Rinse with potable water as per USDA requirements.

CIP or Spray Application -- Alkaline preclean as necessary and use ACIDET 4 at a ratio of 20 - 40:1 (1/2 gallon per 10 - 20 gallons of water) at temperatures of 140° to 160° F. Rinse with potable water as per USDA requirements.
General Acid Cleaning (for routine film removal) -- Use ACIDET 4 at 1 - 2 ounces per gallon of water at a temperature of 120° F. Rinse with potable water as per USDA requirements.

Acidified Rinse -- For routine wipe down of precleaned equipment to eliminate bacteria harboring film, use at 1 ounce per 10 gallons of water and apply manually or as a low pressure spray. Rinse with potable water as per USDA requirements.
