CIP CHLOR cleans cold process product surfaces such as transfer pipelines, holding tanks, filling machines, and food transport tankers. It is particularly effective for removal of protein soils such as blood and animal fats, as well as beverage syrup, soft drink and other food soil residues. Designed for use on all stainless steel alloys, it is also effective on mild steel. It is not suited for use on aluminum or other soft metals. Wettable pump parts should be chlorine resistant.

When used as a CIP cleaner, the product will not cavitate pumps. As a spray application material for vessel interiors, it will not foam or cause rinsing problems. It is effective on vegetable oils, cottonseed oil, and soybean oil, fat and starch deposits. It is totally free rinsing, will not normally cause streaking or leave visible residues upon dry-down. Should a foam application be desirable, a chlorine stable, high foaming surfactant may be used as a foam additive to increase dwell time on vertical surfaces. CIP CHLOR is economical both in purchase price and end use cost.

CIP Cleaning: CIP CHLOR recommended concentrations range from ½ ounce to 2 ounces per gallon of water, depending upon soil type and load. Temperatures will range from 120° to 150° F. Contact times will vary from 10 to 20 minutes in the cleaning cycle. The cleaning cycle should be followed with a potable water rinse for all USDA authorized applications.
